Sandra "Donette" Rafuse, age 65, passed away peacefully in her home in Baker County, Florida, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in Jacksonville on April 29, 1960, to the late Sandra Martine Jones and Charles Edward Jones. Donette and her husband, Junior, enjoyed a beautiful life together, filled with lots of love and many memories. Her passions included serving others, baking, gardening, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. As a committed caregiver to all of those around her, Donette never stopped giving to others. Donette is survived by her husband of 48 years, Oscar "Junior" Rafuse Jr.; sons, Oscar "Bubba" Rafuse III and Charles "Lee" (Krystin) Rafuse; daughters, Lisa (Doug) Peery and Ashley (Randal) Swindell; sisters, Rita Padgett, Cindy (Rob) Farner, and Joy Peterson; grandchildren, Tanner (Haylea) Peery, Jozie Peery, Jameson Rafuse, Jacob Peery, and Jailei Watson. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who shared in her life. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
