IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Lee
Kiper Sr.
September 24, 1955 – August 31, 2023
Ronald Lee Kiper Sr., age 67, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at his home with his beloved family by his side. He was born to Everett and Anna June (Haire) Kiper on September 24, 1955, in Clarkson, Kentucky. Mr. Kiper was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed spoiling his grands and great-grands, doting on his children, and he loved his wife more than life itself. Big Ron moved his family from Louisville, Kentucky, to Baker County in 1986. He was known as "Coach Ron" to many from his time coaching and umpiring for Baker County Little League from 1988-2014. He devoted his time and energy into being a positive role model not only for his children but for the youth in Baker County. Ron worked as a Logistics Specialist with Honeywell. He retired ten years ago and loved going on cruises with his family. Ron was kind, but he was "always right." He knew it all! Ron was a Jaguars fanatic, and he always looked forward to winning all his friends' money playing poker on Friday nights. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Everett Dean Kiper; and grandson, Clayton. Survivors include his beloved soulmate and wife, Mary Hall Kiper of Macclenny; children, Michelle Barnes (Daniel) of Hilliard, Ronald "Ronnie" L. Kiper Jr. (Tara) of Macclenny, and Anna Barnes (Michael) of Macclenny; brother-in-law, Andrew Hall (Jan); grandchildren, Caleb, Jordan, Jared, Deseree, Savannah, Andrea; and great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Journey, Alice, Hunter, Jessie, and Delilah. Private family services will be held. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL & CREMATION, 380 N. Lowder Street, Macclenny, Florida 32063. (904) 259-2806 . Please share your condolences with the Kiper family online at www.blackburncurryfh.com.
