Richard Shawn Moore, age 59, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Clay. He was born on June 9, 1967, one of three children to Linda (Rose) and Roger Moore, and lived in Jacksonville for much of his life.
Rick was a wonderful father, a loyal brother, and a dutiful son who enjoyed online gaming and was the reincarnation of Minnesota Fats on the pool table. He was a former Football Coach with the NAA (Normandy Athletic Association), and he himself was an All-Conference Athlete at Ed White High School in 1985.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Roger. Survivors include his son, Ethan Moore of Kansas City, Missouri; mother, Linda Moore; and brothers, Joseph Moore and Steve Moore, all of Jacksonville.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 800 Hammond Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32221, with Pastor Joe Moore officiating.
