Rhonda Plemmons Rochay, age 72, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was born to Alma Louise (Tucker) and Clifton Henry Plemmons on July 23, 1951, in Maplesville, Alabama. Rhonda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved being with family and friends. Rhonda had a determining spirit that enjoyed bantering back and forth with her late husband, Daniel, and beloved family. Rhonda was a member of the West Park Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She enjoyed sharing God's word and love. Rhonda obtained a degree in Medical Coding. After Rhonda retired, she was a caregiver for her mother and Daniel. With her caring heart, she would garden and cook for her family. Every night, she watched the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Daniel Hazel Rochay Jr.; brother, Clifton Henry Plemmons Jr.; and sister, Melissa Wilson. She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Michael Sean Rochay (Jackie) of Jacksonville, Daniel Paul Rochay (Tiffany) of Troutville, Virginia, and Joshua Lewis Rochay (Holly) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Hailey Whorley (Ali) of Troutville, Virginia, Ariana DeGeorgis (Tristen) of Troutville, Virginia, Trenton Porter of Manchester, New Hampshire, Christian Rochay of Manchester, New Hampshire, Aubree Rochay of Jacksonville, Cody Rochay of Jacksonville, and Cheyenne Rochay of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren; Tristen DeGeorgis Jr. and Ezra Whorley; siblings, Laurvette Davis, Carole Campbell, Timothy Plemmons, all of Jacksonville, and Jeffrey Plemmons of Ft. Lauderdale; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mr. Daniel Rochay and Mrs. Rhonda Rochay at a later date.
