Rebecca Lyn McCarley, age 35, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away tragically on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from injuries sustained in a hit and run accident. She was born in Jacksonville on December 10, 1989, to Sheena McCarley and Robert Martin, and had lived most of her life in Jacksonville. Rebecca was a free-spirited soul who adored her family and loved life. She was a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Her light left this world too soon. Rebecca was preceded in death by her grandparents, Candace McCarley and Robert Martin Jr. Survivors include her son, Jaquez Jones of St. Augustine; mother, Sheena McCarley of Jacksonville; father, Robert Martin (Sonya) of Macclenny; brothers, Nikolas McCarley and Angelo Lombardo Jr, both of Jacksonville, Benny Martin and Thomas Martin, both of Macclenny; sister, Abby Martin of Macclenny; grandparents, Deborah Mobley Brown (Bradley) of Middleburg and Dawn Martin of Blackshear, Georgia; along with beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Clay Hill Church of God, 5075 County Road 218 W, Middleburg, Florida 32068.
