Philip "Eddie" McCaffrey, age 53, of Fleming Island, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, after an extended illness. He was born in Jacksonville on July 7, 1969, to Philip J. and Virginia K. (Fortsom) McCaffrey. Eddie was an easy going, fun loving brother and friend. He was a hard worker and had worked with Paschal Brothers Hardware & Lumber Company for 27 years. Eddie was a diehard Florida State Seminole and Dallas Cowboys fan. There is even a brick paver with his name on it around Cowboy Stadium. In his free time, Eddie loved driving his Jeep and looked forward to going to Daytona Beach for the annual Jeep Beach event. He also enjoyed fishing for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his girlfriend, Jacquelyn Lain of Fleming Island; and close friend, Corey Hunt of Hilliard.
