Pastor Donald "Don" Charles Kunnmann, age 67, of Baldwin, Florida, went home to be with His Savior on Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1957, in Queens, New York to Virginia (Basso) and Donald Carl Kunnmann, and had lived in Florida for the past 37 years. Anyone who knew Don knew that he greatly loved the Lord, his family, and his friends (in that order). He served the Lord faithfully at West Shores Baptist Church for 33 years, where he was Pastor for the last 6 years. Don built many lifelong bonds with those whom he served the Lord with, and many of those bonds and friendships remained until his death. Don was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, and brother-in-law. Survivors include his beloved wife of more than 32 years, Shaun Kunnmann of Baldwin; children, Michelle Atkins (Michael) and Tommy Kunnmann, all of Baldwin; granddaughter, Mika Atkins; mother-in-law, Catherine Udell; brothers, Steve Kunnmann of Virginia and Bob Kunnmann (Jeanie) of California; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly. After the death of his brother-in-law in 2002, Don did his best to mentor those nieces left behind, and they were very special to him; Mindy Edwards (Sean) of Virginia, Tiffany Brack (Matt) and Stephanie Phillips (Tanner), both of Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at West Shores Baptist Church with Brother Donald Scott, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
