Michael Tillman Spivey, age 47, a lifelong resident of Macclenny, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 19, 2025, after an extended illness. He was born in Macclenny on May 16, 1978, to Verdie Gail (Burnsed) and Rosier Tillman Spivey Jr. Michael was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He was always reading and studying his Bible. Michael devoted his life to the Ministry through his dedicated work with Teen Challenge as the Program Director. He enjoyed tinkering, building furniture, and fishing. But most of all, he loved the Lord and his family. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Rosier "Butch" T. Spivey Jr. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Jaime Spivey of Macclenny; son, Corbin of Macclenny; daughters, Shaylee of Wichita, Kansas and Madison of Macclenny; mother, Gail Spivey of Macclenny; brother, Jeffrey Spivey (Tracy) of Macclenny; sisters, Vicki Spivey of Jacksonville and Cyndi Ray (Bryan) of Macclenny; niece, Renee Spivey; along with other family members and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor George Maddox and Pastor Eddie Griffis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
