Michael Owen McDonald, age 65, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on February 28, 2022. He was born on August 3, 1956, in Waycross, Georgia, to Malissa Elizabeth (Woods) McDonald and the late Lester Owen McDonald. Mike was a loving father, grandfather, "Papa," and brother who enjoyed being a Georgia Bulldog fan, watching NASCAR, and playing golf when he could. Survivors include his son, Michael Aaron McDonald of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; daughters, Heather McDonald of Glen St. Mary and Barbara Miller of Fleming Island; mother, Malissa E. McDonald of Fernandina Beach; sisters, Peggy Larsen (Jimmy) of Fernandina Beach and Amy McDonald of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Hunter Padgett, Jacob Miller, Levi Shaw, and Grace Shaw; nieces, Jennifer Albert and Jessica Sorrells; great-nieces, Haleigh Albert and Ansley Sorrells; great-nephews, Colby Albert and Cason Sorrells; and many other family members.
