Michael A. Browning, age 65, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Community Hospice Douglas Center for Caring. He was born on January 8, 1959, to Norma Jean (Carson) and John Shafter Browning. Mike was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend who enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, tinkering, and fixing things. On lazy days, he loved hanging on the couch watching westerns and war movies. He never met a stranger and liked talking with anyone. Mike was a friendly, warm spirit and will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cecil Albert Browning; and sister, Barbara Denise Browning. Survivors include his brothers, James Allen Browning of Sanderson and John Paul Browning of Jacksonville; sisters, Helen Elizabeth Hertzog (Jeffery) of Jacksonville and Mary B. Brown (Timothy) of Hilliard; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Orange Park Church of the Nazarene, 3212 Moody Avenue, Orange Park, 32065, with Pastor Crystal Riner officiating.
