Mary Virginia Rhoden, age 88, of Gainesville, Florida passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the E.T. York Care Center (Haven Hospice). Mary was born on June 14, 1929 in Tallahassee, the daughter of the late John W. and Margie E. (Taff) Spears. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was a devout people person that dedicated her attention to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ernest Ray Spears and Danny Spears; sisters, Frances Croson, Shirley Tyson, and Gloria Spears; and her son, Dale C. Moore. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Crawford (Larry) of Eustis, FL; brother, J.W. Spears (Emily) of Crawfordville, FL; sisters, Phyllis Thomas of Crawfordville, FL, Billie Turner (Ron) of Houston, TX, Janet Schweinsberg (Jerry) and Peggy Smith (Nelson) both of Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren, Shannon, Chad, Terri, and Traci; great grandchildren, Josh, Kara, Tyler, Lisa, Brooklyn, Landen, and Delaney; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ms. Rhoden's honor may be made to the E.T.
