Mary Ann Bryant Whitehead, age 74, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sanderson to Mary (Crews) and Jake Oscar Bryant on January 15, 1951. Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved the Lord and her family, especially her grandbabies. Mary Ann retired from Northeast Florida State Hospital. She enjoyed attending church, searching for yard sales, traveling, and helping others. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 17 years, Leland "LA" Whitehead; and siblings, Jake "JN" Bryant, Truman "Truby" Bryant, Allen "Runt" Bryant, Robert Bryant, Irene Bryant Wilkerson, George Bryant, David Bryant, Lonnie Bryant, Kay Bryant Thornton, Jake "Jr" Bryant, and a set of twins at birth. She is survived by her loving children, Larry Austin Rowe of Macclenny, Reginia Ann Whitehead (Robbie) of Middleburg, and Marcus Rowe (Mendy) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Caleb Mills (Linda) of Lawtey, Nathan Mills (Miranda) of Baldwin, Brandon Whitehead (Shimaa) of Starke, and Mack Whitehead (Katelyn) of Lake Asbury; great-grandchildren, Branton, Whitney, Rayleigh, Aden, Olivia, Waylon, Levi, Amir, Bentley, Adam, Talia, Ryder, and Reign; siblings, Dorothy Byrant Herndon, Jimmy Bryant, Curtis Bryant, Leona Bryant Griffis, Roland Bryant, and Carol Bryant Covington; along with numerous nieces, nephews, an aunt, cousins, church family, and friends like family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church of Macclenny with Pastor Neil Griffis and Pastor Stewart Barton officiating. Interment in Macedonia Cemetery will follow. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
