Maggie Suzanne Brooks, age 46, of Macclenny, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. She was born on April 15, 1980, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, to Larry and Susan Brooks. Maggie loved to garden, cook for family and friends, and had a strong sense of artistic creativity. She was a light in every room she entered and could always make you laugh. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, and friend, but above all, she was a loving “Grandmag” to her grandchildren and was rarely seen without at least one of them in tow. More than anything, Maggie deeply loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and often said that in her heart, she knew that He knew exactly who she was. She is survived by her daughters, Mallory (Reece), Carly (Parker), and Analeigh, all of Baker County; mother, Susan of Macclenny; brother, Brock (April) of Jacksonville; beloved grandchildren, Layla and Knox of Macclenny; maternal great-grandmother, Virginia of Jacksonville; nephew, Maddox of Yulee; best friend, Alan Shadd of Macclenny; and many cousins and friends.
Upon her arrival in Heaven, she was met by her father, Larry; her Bepa, E. Ed Yarbrough; her Aunt Renee; and her Uncle Klate.Maggie loved deeply, devoted her life to serving others, and will be missed forever. We find comfort in the knowledge that she is with her Savior and her loved ones who went home before her.
A Celebration of Maggie's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at The Lord's Church in Taylor, Florida.
