Lyle "R.J." Young Jr, age 41, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at UF Health in Jacksonville. He was born on May 30, 1982, in Houston, Texas, to his father and Patricia M. (Crews) Young. As a young child, the family moved to Macclenny. R.J. was of the Baptist faith and loved his family, friends, and the Florida Gators. He was a truck driver at Jamie Brooks Underground Inn for over 10 years. R.J. loved being outdoors. He was either fishing, shrimping, or on a motorcycle. R.J. is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia M. Young. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tammy Janette Young; daughter, Lexy Young of Orlando; mother and father-in-law, Peggy and James Newmans; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Crummey officiating.
