Louis Randolph Smith Jr., age 61, of Raiford, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida. Louis was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of the late Louis Sr. and Willa Jean (Finley) Smith and had lived in Union County for the past 14 years. He was a kind and loving brother, uncle and friend who enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, sitting on his front porch swing or playing cards with his nieces and nephews. He was a Front End Load Operator for Gillman Paper Company in Maxville, Florida and retired from there after 38 years of service.
Survivors include his brothers, Howard Smith (Doris) of Jacksonville, FL, Herbert Smith, Scott Smith, Jamie Smith (Stephanie Bowden) all of Lawtey, FL; sisters, Sheena Smith (Ricky Barrett) of Raiford, FL, Brenda Smith of Starke, FL and Cathy Dobbs of Lawtey, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Bergman officiating.
