Londie Lyons, age 90, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Moniac, Georgia, on Sunday, July 29, 1934, to Mattie (Johns) and Sylvester Lyons and had lived here in Baker County most all of his life. Mr. Lyons was a loving husband, caring father, doting grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He devoted his life to the service of his Lord and Savior, and his family. Mr. Lyons was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley, Floyd, and Joe Lyons; and sister, Evelyn Soloman. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Geraldine Lyons; daughters, Sherlene Johnson of Macclenny and Darlene Higginbotham (Jeff) of Dandridge, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lauren Craig (Matt), Steven Johnson (Erin), Casey Higginbotham; and great-grandchildren, Anna Grace, Caleb, Luke Craig, Harper and Bailey Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastor David Thomas and Pastor Timmy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
