Linda Darlene Davis, age 66, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 28, 1958, to Frances Lee (Vinson) and Calvin F. Simon. Linda graduated from Paxton High School and went right to work with St. Vincent's Medical Center as a Registration Clerk in the Emergency Room. She retired after 45 years of service. Linda and her family moved to Baker County 36 years ago. She was a warm, kind wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated herself to caring for others. Linda was happiest when everyone else was made happy. Her one guilty pleasure was traveling to New York City with her mother and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Randy Simon. Survivors include her beloved husband of 42 years, Oscar L. Davis of Macclenny; daughter, Autumn Scott (Troy) of Macclenny; sister, Evelyn Smith (Frank) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, J.J. and Ben; niece, Amber Smith; great-niece, Kasey; and great-nephew, Gavin.
