Lawrence "Pepper" Clarke Scott II, age 53, a lifelong resident of Macclenny, Florida, passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville after an extended illness. He was born on May 20, 1968, in Mobile, Alabama, to Lawrence C. and M. Patricia (Kellum) Scott. Pepper was a Sergeant at the Florida State Prison and has worked with the Florida Department of Corrections for 25 years. He was also a member of Dawkins Masonic Lodge #60 and a Georgia Bulldog fan. A loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Pepper's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his precious mother, Patricia "Pat" Scott, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Andrea Scott of Macclenny; son, Matthew Shayne Scott of Macclenny; daughter, Katelyn Raindrop Scott of Jacksonville; father, Lawrence "Larry" C. Scott of Macclenny; brothers, Kelly Scott (Stephanie) of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Michael "Mike" Scott (Rosina) of Macclenny; sister, Shannon Scott Randall of Macclenny; along with nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Glen Friendship Tabernacle Church with Dr. Albert Starling officiating.
