IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lawrence "Larry"
Clarke Scott
May 10, 1943 – May 15, 2025
Lawrence "Larry" Clarke Scott, age 82, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, on May 10, 1943, one of three sons to Josephine Roberta (McIndoo) and Raymond Stanley Scott. Mr. Scott was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. A veteran of the US Navy, he was a perpetual member of Dawkins Masonic Lodge #60 for over 50 years. Larry was a 3rd Degree Mason, past Secretary of the Masonic Potentate, and 5 time past Master of Dawkins Lodge. He served his Lodge without hesitation and loved to travel across the State of Florida, representing Dawkins Lodge while attending various Masonic events. Larry was proud of being in the first class of Licensed Paramedics in the State of Florida, License #922. He enjoyed researching family genealogy and model railroading. Larry was involved with many organizations and was dedicated to helping others, but his greatest accomplishment was the family he and his beloved wife raised and the legacy he left behind. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; devoted wife of 25 years, M. Patricia Kellum Scott; son, Lawrence "Pepper" C. Scott II; son-in-law, Perry G. Randall; and brothers, Richard C. Scott and Stanley M. Scott. Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Carlene Scott Randall of Macclenny; sons, Christopher "Kelly" Scott (Stephanie) of Seward, Nebraska and Michael L. Scott (Rosina) of Raiford; along with ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Glen Friendship Tabernacle Church with Dr. Albert Starling officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the dedicated care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL AND CREMATION, 380 N. Lowder Street, Macclenny, Florida 32063. (904) 259-2806.
