Mr. Lamar Wayne Thrift, age 55, of Macclenny, Florida passed away at home on Saturday, March 2, 2019. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Jeff Raymond and Judy (Cory) Thrift. Lamar was a carpenter by trade and a huge Gator fan. He enjoyed playing video games and driving his IROC Z Camaro. But most of all, he was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Lamar was preceded in death by his mother, Judy C. Thrift. He is survived by his father, Jeff R. Thrift of Mayo; sister, Christina Tuell and her husband, Mike of Green Cove Springs; faithful friend and caretaker, Andrala Turk of Macclenny; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends. A Celebration of Lamar's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2019, in the Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wilford McCormick officiating.
