Ms. Kymberly Joy Matthews, age 36, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at St. Vincent Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on October 31, 1984, in Jacksonville to James Matthews and Lillie Joy Davis, and has lived all of her life in Baker County. Kymberly was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a kind and loyal soul that was always eager to help a friend or stranger. Survivors include her mother, Lillie Joy Matthews of Macclenny; father, James Matthews (Brenda) of Lake City; brother, James "Jimmy" Matthews Jr. (Nikki) of Valdosta, Georgia; beloved nieces, Alexis and Gracie; as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved her. A memorial service to celebrate the lives of Joy and Kymberly Matthews will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dale Hodges, Jr. officiating.
