Kenneth "Tam" Church, age 81, of Clay Hill, Florida, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was born on April 26, 1942, in Boone, North Carolina, to Don and Ella Marie (Eggers) Church. Mr. Church lived in Clay Hill for the past ten years, having moved from North Carolina where he was a member of the Dyson Grove Baptist Church in Butler, Tennessee. He worked in construction by trade and was a unique, master carpenter. Tam loved gardening, hiking, and nature. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben, and sister, Susie. Survivors include his wife of over forty years, Betty Church; daughter, Tammy Helm (Brian); sons, Travis Church (April); and Scott Church (Brenda); stepchildren, Donna Perry, Jeff Padgett (Jeny), and Phelan Padgett (Patty); brothers, Rob, Bert, Wayne, Luther, and Bern Church; sisters, Janet and Carolyn; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the home of Robert Padgett. Mr. Church will be laid to rest at Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville.
