Keith Ervin Shaffer, age 77, of St. George, Georgia, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1946,  to the late Charles Ervin and Mary Lou (Hawkins) Shaffer in Lucas, Ohio. Keith had lived in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, with Key West being his favorite coastline. He was of Baptist faith and encouraged friends and family with love. Keith is a Vietnam veteran who served over ten years in the United States Army and received the Covenant Purple Heart Medal. While living in Key West, he retired as a heavy equipment operator mechanic for the United States Navy. Keith enjoyed boating and socializing with family, friends, and his five fur babies. His siblings, Gary Shaffer and Ruth Ann Shaffer, preceded him in death. Keith is survived by his life partner of 26 years, Alice "Diane" Morrow; sons; Richard C. Shaffer and David "Keith" Morrell; daughter-in-law, Angel Nicole Wyatt; grandchildren, Abigail Jean Wyatt, and Dakota Lee Wyatt; and fur babies; Mae Mae, Tater Bug, Sammy, T-Bow, and Bubble Butt.
