Keith Bennett Blome, age 67, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. He was born to Paul and Violet Blome in Loveland, Colorado, on May 7, 1957. Keith spent his early years in Lyman and Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1975. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Navy. He served from October 1975 to 1979, some of which was aboard the USS Wainwright. After leaving the Navy, he returned to Scottsbluff where he worked for Burlington Northern Railroad from 1980 to 1982. Keith then decided to move back east and settled in Florida. He started in West Palm Beach and worked for Danka Business Systems and then for Xerox Corp until his retirement. Keith lived in many places throughout Florida during his career. His final home was in Macclenny. Keith was an active member of The American Legion and was an honorary member of the local Vietnam Veteran's Chapter, volunteering his time to help fellow veterans. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Blome. He is survived by his father, Paul Blome of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; sister, Sharon Twenter (Marvin) of Columbia, Missouri; brother, Kevin Blome of Mitchell, Nebraska; sister, Stephanie Blome of Topeka, Kansas; niece, Ashley Austin (Jeff) of Silverlake, Kansas; nephews, Brett and Brody Blome of Mitchell, Nebraska, and Brandon Twenter of Columbia, Missouri. There will be no funeral service. Keith was a Navy veteran and a lover of animals. Suggested memorials would be to your local VA or Humane Society in his name.
