Justin R. "Duke" Brogdon, age 34, of Sanderson, Florida, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Born in Jacksonville, he was a lifelong resident of Baker County. Duke enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and four wheeling in the woods with his friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter.
Duke was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, JR Davis and Clarice Davis Stackhouse; paternal grandparents, J.C. and Katherine Brogdon; father, Jay Brogdon; brother, Chancey Blackburn; and son, Justin R. Brogdon, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Jaylynn Brogdon of Sanderson; parents, Phillip and Wanda Davis Blackburn of Sanderson; brothers, Michael Davis of Sanderson, James Brogdon (Kelly) of Glen St. Mary, and Johnny Ray Brogdon (Andrea) of Glen St. Mary; sisters, Brandi Tomlinson (Robert) of Sanderson, April Brogdon of Glen St. Mary, Valerie Wilkerson of Sanderson, and Hillary Brogdon of Sanderson; along with numerous other family members and friends.Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in the chapel of Blackburn-Curry Funeral and Cremation. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Prong Cemetery in Sanderson.
