Julie Christine Long, age 66, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at her home under the care of Haven Hospice. She was born to Betty Lou (Andrews) and Lucious Clyde Sowell in Folkston, Georgia, on December 28, 1958, and had been a lifelong resident of Baker County. Ms. Long was a caring mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who enjoyed fishing and rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs. She attended New Life Church and was a member of the Macclenny Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Julie retired from NEFSH as a psychiatric aide. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her children, Tara Griffis (Josh) of Macclenny, Krysten Rhoden of Macclenny, and Scott Rhoden (Jenny Ofjord) of Glen St. Mary; siblings, Wanda Parker (Wayne), Laura Raulerson (Ivie), and Kevin Sowell (Jana), all of Macclenny; grandchildren, Gage, Nolan, Kaden, Stormy, and Maddie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
