Judith Ann "Judy" Strickland, age 74, of Keystone Heights, Florida, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. She was born on April 8, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Alvis and Alma Marie (Spradling) Stafford.
Mrs. Strickland had been a resident of Keystone Heights for the past 24 years and was a Registered Nurse with the Northeast Florida State Hospital before retiring in 2014. Judy devoted her life to the love and care of her family. She loved life and made sure to live it to the fullest everyday. She really enjoyed anything that was adventurous, amusement parks and roller coasters were her favorite. Judy's passion for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was undeniable for anyone who knew her.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her sons, Paul J. Strickland and Carl A. Strickland. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Kenneth Strickland of Keystone Heights; daughters, Kathryn Ann Sofield (Fred) of Keystone Heights, and Melissa Strickland of Glen St. Mary; sister, Norma Moulton of Starke; grandchildren, Fred Sofield, Jr. (Molly), Ashley Lynn Sofield, Kaleb Strickland, and Anthony Paul Strickland; and great grandchildren, Brayden, Baylee, and Abigayle Sofield.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Home. Graveside services will then be held at 2:30 p.m., in South Prong Cemetery with Pastor Brandon Denmark officiating.
