Mrs. Juanita Faye Carlton, age 84, of Baldwin, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Jacksonville on December 9, 1937, to Kenneth and Larena Thomas. Mrs. Carlton was a kind and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who devoted her life to her family and to the service of her Savior, Jesus Christ. A longtime member of Baldwin Assembly of God, she spent 40 years ministering at nursing homes and witnessing in state correctional facilities. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ivy Thomas; son, Roger "Doug" Carlton; and beloved husband of over 40 years, Curtis Wayne Carlton. She is survived by her sons, Dennis L. Carlton (Diana) of Interlachen, David W. Carlton (Tara) of Albany, Georgia, and Jonathan "Danny" Carlton (Alicia Hopper) of Baldwin; daughter, Kayla Thomas of Largo; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; along with other family members, her church family, and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Baldwin Assembly of God. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Baldwin Assembly of God with Pastor Bert Hutson officiating. Interment in Brandy Branch Cemetery will follow.
