Joshua Darren Smith, age 29, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Shands UF Jacksonville. Josh was a caring husband, father, son, and brother. He was a hard worker with a spirit for travel and music. He was a 2009 graduate of Baldwin High School and was currently attending FSCJ for nursing. Survivors include his wife of 4 years, Andrea Smith of Jacksonville; daughter, Leighton of Jacksonville; parents, Melvin "Smitty" Smith and Pamela (Boatright) Smith of Macclenny; brother, Spencer Smith (Abigail) of Macclenny; grandmothers, Kay Boatright and Brenda Smith; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends. Funeral services for Joshua will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Baldwin, with Pastor Chris Drum and Pastor Ricky Baldwin officiating.
