John Edward Rosier Jr., age 55, of Baldwin, Florida, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. Vincent's Clay. He was born in Jacksonville on October 17, 1970, one of two children to Cynthia Lucille (Green) and John E. Rosier. John was a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a longtime Mark Martin fan. He worked hard as a heavy equipment operator, so when he was off, he would go fishing down at the creek or just ride the forest roads. That is where he found a sense of freedom. Being outdoors brought time to clear his mind, spend time with his dog, and converse with God. John was preceded in death by his father, John E. Rosier.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Patty" Rosier of Baldwin; son, John Edward Rosier III (Stephanie) of Middleburg; daughter, Ashley Smallwood (Sean) of Middleburg; mother, Cynthia "Lucille" Padgett of Jacksonville; sister, Elaine Dalager (Jerry) of Middleburg; and grandchildren, Lily Smallwood, Elsie Smallwood, and Everett Rosier.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rusty Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery in Maxville. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
