Jimmy Crews Sr., age 80, of Olustee, Florida, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Macclenny on October 26, 1944, the youngest son of Myrtie (Combs) and Earnest Crews, and was raised in the Moniac and Sanderson areas. Mr. Jimmy loved being outdoors fishing, in the kitchen cooking, or just hanging out on the patio having a cold beer with his friends. The time spent with his family will be the most precious memories he leaves behind. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earnest "Putty" Crews, Paul Crews, and Archie Crews; and sisters, Roxie Batey, Arie "Sissy" Lauramore-Carter, Ophelia Nipper, and Carolyn Vellecca. Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Debra Barber Crews of Olustee; sons, Jimmy Crews Jr. of Macclenny, and Michael Crews (Brandi) of Olustee; daughters, Marie Crews-Fryer (Scott) of Sanderson, Teresa Crews-Williams (Travis) of Glen St. Mary, Alyssa Crews-Stephenson (Bo) of Taylor, Amanda Crews Hardenbrook of Raiford, and Jamie Crews-Stewart (Steven) of Olustee; brother, Buddy Crews (Judy) of St. George, Georgia; sister, Geneva Cook of  Macclenny; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Troy Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Swift Creek Cemetery in Lake Butler. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
