Jason Buren Byrd Jr., age 20, of Hilliard, Florida, passed away unexpectedly from an automobile accident on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was born in Jacksonville on April 29, 2003, to Tabatha Gayle (Wester) and Jason Buren Byrd Sr. Jason earned his GED at the age of 17 and began working as a loader for UPS where he twice received employee of the month. Jason is loved and remembered for his genuine, kind, and loving heart. He was the friend you could count on and an inspiration to his peers. He was hard-working and had started planning for his future, studying for EMT/Fire School. Jason loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and spending time at home on the farm with his mom, stepdad, and Meme, all the family pets, and his birds. Jason is survived by his beloved mother, Tabatha Ouellette, and stepfather, Randy Ouellette of Hilliard; father, Jason Byrd Sr. of Baldwin; grandparents, Mary Ann Stevenson, John P. Wester, Joey and Lisa Byrd, and Lenny and Elaine Ouellette; aunts, Taresa Wester (Rick) and Amanda Downs (Kenneth); uncles, John Wester, Johnathan Wester, and Logan Wester; and cousins, Kenzie, Rosa, Mari, Angel, Kalli, Ember, Michele (Jeremiah), Shelby, Madyson, and Kayson. A Celebration of Jason's Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Baldwin, 97 Center Street S., Baldwin, Florida 32234, with Pastor Chris Drum officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
