James Conrad Bain, age 57, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, following a lingering illness. Born on May 21, 1968, in Covington, Kentucky, he was the beloved son of Mary Francis (Kenney) and Royle W. Bain.
James called Baker County home for the last 26 years.
A loving father, grandfather, and brother, his sole focus in life was his grandchildren. They knew that when he came to visit, Papa would have a large bag of treats ready.
James was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Bain (Jeremy Pons), Charly Williams (Robbie), and Erika Beck (Justin), all of Glen St. Mary; brother, Gary Bain (Misty) of Cartersville, Georgia; stepmother, Mary M. Bain of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren, Anthony, Marlee, Trenton, J.D., Mady, Morgan, Hallee, Ryan, LuceeJo, Wally, J.R., Averie, Jesup, Tucker, and Anita; former wife of 39 years, Lori Bain; nieces, Ashlyn (Chase) and Kacie; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service honoring James’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tommy Richardson officiating.
