Jackie B. Parrott, age 84, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 13, 1938, in Lake City to Bell (Mason) and Epstine Brown. Jackie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending time in her garden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Buddy Brown and Johnny Brown; sisters, Ruby Smith and Mary Brown; son, Lester Parrott; daughter, Bonnie Rhoden; and her husband of 23 years, Morris Carl Parrott. Survivors include her sons, Chester Parrott (Tracey) of Douglas, Georgia, Wesley Lee Parrott (Jan) of Glen St. Mary, and Nathan Parrott (Kim) of Maxville; daughter, Jacqueline "Lil Bit" Faulk (Louie) of Glen St. Mary; brother, James Brown (Janet) of Woodbine, Georgia; sisters, Doodle Carmichal of Lake City, Shirley Brown of Callahan, and Sandy Gill (Donnie) of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; along with several other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Brother Marshall Rhoden officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Church Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
