Jackie Edna Dickerhoof, age 79, of Yulee, Florida, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, after an extended illness. She was born on May 21, 1946, in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of Oretha (Justice) and Allen Edward Lee Thomas.
Jackie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She delighted in the simple pleasures of nurturing her garden’s blooms, sharing warm moments with her grandbabies, and engaging her sharp mind with games on her tablet. Her caring spirit and gentle presence touched all who knew her.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Pugh; daughter, Marie Burgess, and brother, Gino Thomas. She is survived by her son, Jess Jacob Whorton of Yulee; daughters, Ann Harris of California, Nan Musgrove (Jerry) of Jacksonville, and Donna Moncrief of Palm Coast; and her sisters, Pat, Linda, and Dale. Her legacy lives on through an extraordinary legacy of 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
