Ivery Ann Painter, age 83, of Baldwin, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at St. Vincent's Hospital Clay. Ann was born in Sanderson on Saturday, October 5, 1940, to Willie Mae (Davis) and Ivy Richard Williams and was a 1958 graduate of Baker County High School. She lived her adult life in Jacksonville and Melrose and was a longtime member of Murray Hill Baptist Church and later Eliam Baptist Church. She was a kind and gentle spirit who dedicated her life to a few specific things: service to her Lord and Saviour and caring for her family and others. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, her passing is just a brief goodbye. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, John and Drew Williams, and her beloved husband of 31 years, Lewis C. Painter. She is survived by her sons, Brian Painter (Faith) of Orange Park, Dale Painter (Donna) of Baldwin, and Kevin Painter (Lisa) of Callahan; daughter, Libby Painter of Melrose; brothers, Jack Williams (Janice) of Glen St. Mary and Billy Williams (Jane) of Sanderson; sisters, Elaine Kondas (Larry) and June DiLello (Dan) both of Sanderson; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
