Obituary

Ian Ancil Manick, age 44, of Jacksonville, Florida, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Mr. Manick was born in Trinidad and Tobago on November 20, 1979, to Preamlal Manick and Chanerpatti Ramjit Manick where he resided through his teen years before moving to Ohio. He later moved to Jacksonville. Ian worked for a steel mill while in Ohio and drove tankers for Gate Petroleum while living in Jacksonville. He enjoyed working out, music, and riding motorcycles. Ian was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father. Survivors include his mother, Chanerpatti Manick; loving sisters, Priscilla Ramjit (David Craft), Leah Manick, and Gabriella Williams (Marc Nowicki); brother, Hugh Hodges; aunt, Kasey; uncles, Michael Ramjit (Christine), Neil Ramjit (Sandra); former wife, Peggy; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and other close relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rodney Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Per his wishes, he will be cremated.
