Reverend Herman Alton Dorminey, age 80, of Cuyler, Florida, went home to rejoice with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 20, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Brother Al was born in Nashville, Georgia, the son of Alton Eugene and Bertha Mae (Wilkes) Dorminey, and had lived in Baker County since 1986. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who devoted his life to the service of God and his family. Brother Al was a Pastor of the gospel for 35 years, having served at Old Kings Road Baptist Church and Cuyler Baptist Church. He continued to serve as a member of Christian Fellowship Temple until his health waned. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene Dorminey and Robbie Dorminey; and sister, Virginia Kline. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Kathy L. Dorminey of Cuyler; sons, Ricky Dorminey (Lisa) of Middleburg and Billy Worthington (Donna) of Waynesville, GA; daughters, Debra Dorminey of Middleburg, Teresa McKenzie of Middleburg, Bethany Bates of Glen St. Mary, and Kimberly Williams of Macclenny; grandchildren, Nichole, Jacob, Hannah, Addie, Zachary, Dillon, Madisyn, Bentley, Isabella, Garrett, Jordan, and Brandon. Memorial services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Christian fellowship Temple with Pastor David Thomas and Reverend Billy Worthington officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Please practice proper social distancing if you are able to attend.
