Herbert Richard Boggs III, age 59, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville. Herb was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Sally (Gibson) Boggs and Herbert Richard Boggs Jr., and has lived in Macclenny/Glen St. Mary most of his life. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family. Herb's biggest passion was hunting. He loved hunting with his father and was a former Hunt Master with the Macclenny Hunting Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert R. Boggs Jr. in 2011. Herb had a great sense of humor and could moon-walk at his infamous cookouts like no other. Herb was also a major "foodie" and loved to create masterpiece dishes. Survivors include his son, Sean Boggs (Amanda) of Jacksonville; mother, Sally Boggs of Jacksonville; sister, Carla Vivatson (Duane) of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Alyssa, Annabelle and Ethan Boggs; niece, Ivana Cruz; half-brother, Charles Sumner of Jacksonville; and his long-time love, Ms. Shirley Dugger of Macclenny. Herb's pride and joy were his grandchildren, Alyssa, Annabelle and Ethan. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Michael Ramondetta officiating.
