Harold Bruce Thunberg of Jacksonville completed his lifelong journey of 77 years on August 28, 2021. Bruce was born on November 29, 1943.  He was drafted into the United States Navy just after high school, served for 20 years with multiple tours in Vietnam, and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. After the Navy, Bruce and his family made Jacksonville their home. He was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, and most importantly, a kind soul that would help anyone in need. He enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, shooting guns, riding motorcycles, cooking, reading, tinkering with electronics, watching YouTube, playing video games, and spending time with his family. We will forever miss Bruce and his special turkey dinners. He is survived by his sons, daughter, their spouses, and children; Wayne Thunberg, Darrell (Jill) Thunberg, Patrick (Suzanne) Thunberg, Kim (Shawna) Thunberg. Bruce will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, with military honors.
