Gloria Wright Joiner, age 84, of Taylor, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, after a longtime battle against cancer at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. She was born on October 15, 1940, in Kingston, New York, the only child of Eva Osa (Hanson) and James Theodore Wright. First and foremost, she loved the Lord, and putting Him first made it very easy to uplift the love and care she gave her family. Gloria delighted in cooking and was an avid reader and devoted Christian.  She will be deeply missed by her loving family including her husband and best friend of 63 years, Marion Joiner of Taylor, Florida; son, James E. Joiner of Taylor; daughter, Deborah Gail (Christopher) Davis of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Lane Joiner, Kyle (Kayla) Weber, and Krista (Peter) Matla; and great-grandchildren, Miles and Mason Matla. A Celebration of Gloria's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Brother Marion Joiner officiating.
