Genevieve Gain, age 93, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 14, 1930, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Lawrence Giffen and Mary Jane Riffle. Mrs. Gain had lived in Baker County for the past 3 years having moved from Malta, Ohio. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking and crocheting, tending her flowers and vegetables in her small garden, and watching the little hummingbirds visit her feeders. Most importantly she loved her bible and stood strong in her faith throughout the years. She was a simple country woman who was the queen bee of her family. Until we meet again, you'll always be alive in our hearts. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gale, Glenn, and Garry Gain; daughters, Gloria and Grace Gain; as well as her beloved husband, Charles Everette Gain. Survivors include her son, Paul Gain (Virginia) of Columbus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
