Frances N. Southard, age 76, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away at her home surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, August 30, 2025. A native of Baker County, she was born in Jacksonville to Lois E. (Suggs) and George W. Goethe on October 16, 1948. Frances was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a telephone operator at NEFSH and retired after 18 years of service. She attended both New Life Church and Cornerstone Church. Frances enjoyed gospel music and traveling, especially to the beach and mountains. She also looked forward to cheering for FSU during football season. Frances was preceded in death by her parents and devoted husband of 39 years, Gary M. Southard. She is survived by her children, Matthew Southard (Elizabeth), Garry "Alan" Southard (Brandy), and Angela Davis; sister, Annette Blount; and grandchildren, Gunner, Caynan, Eden, and Ellie, all of Macclenny. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at New Life Church with Pastor Jack Pope officiating. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery in St. George, Georgia.
