Floyd Wallace Statham Jr., age 78, of O'Brien, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Malcom Randall Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville. He was born on April 13, 1945, in Patuxent River, Maryland, to Freda Louise (Milam) and Floyd Wallace Statham. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Floyd served in the U.S. Army for three years. He retired as a commercial aircraft mechanic and loved everything about aircraft. Floyd also had a great love of fishing. Floyd was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wallace Statham Sr.; mother, Freda Louise Milam; sister, Gloria Kemp; and brother, Sam Statham. He is survived by his children, Kimberley Statham (Scott), Shane Statham (Larea), and Stephanie Cobb (Daryl); sisters, Linda McDaniel (Tommy) and Yvonne Garmon; grandchildren, Tiera Sanford, Bobi Jo Sanford, Johnathan Sanford, Brittany Cobb, Taylor Cobb, Stefan Statham, Brody Moseley; great-grandchildren, Alburn Steadham, Colbie Steadham, Leary Cobb, Kaneki Mote, Zachary Lee, Tracy Lee Wingate, Sarenity Pearson, and Maddison Statham; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
