Floyd E. Crews, age 64, a lifelong resident of Macclenny, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City. He was born in Jacksonville on December 21, 1959, to the late Euless Barry and Etta Mae (Floyd) Crews. Floyd was of Baptist faith, and he taught his children how to enjoy the simple gifts of nature. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. Floyd was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a Mason. He was a retired car hauler who had to keep his hands busy. Floyd was known for his knowledge of building, woodworking, and mechanic skills. Floyd was widowed by his previous wife, Tammy Crews. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Valerie (Barton) Crews; children, Matthew Crews of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Floyd Crews (Jennifer) of St. George, Georgia, Michael Leonard (Lindsay) of Macclenny, Jessica Sallas (Robert) of Wetumpka, Alabama, Casey Crews of Sanderson, and Tiffany Hannah of Jacksonville; brothers, Tommy Crews (Donna) of Cuyler, Chester Crews (Bonnie) of Glen St. Mary, and Timmy Crews of Norridgewock, Maine; sisters, Sarah Crews of Jacksonville, and Annetta Crews of Sierra Vista, Arizona; grandchildren, Dalton Crews (Cheyenne), Addison Hannah, Dawson Crews, Joseph Hannah, Colton Crews, Kryssie Rountree, Max Leonard, Cason Crews, Bailee Rountree, Ava Leonard, Matthew Crews, Nicholas Crews, Damien Crews, and Sophia Crews; great-grandchildren, Luna Crews, Hardy Crews, and Isabella Alvarez-Crews; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Macedonia Independent Methodist Church, 6468 County Road 23C, Macclenny, Florida 32063, with Reverend Allen Crews officiating. Interment in Macedonia Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the care of BLACKBURN-CURRY FUNERAL & CREMATION, 380 N.
