Emily Fay McLamb, age 81, of Sanderson, Florida, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Community Hospice Center for Caring at St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 12, 1942, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Susie (Byrd) and J. Elbert Lee. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Emily had lived in Baker County for the past 25 years. Her heart was devoted to taking care of everyone and everything. Emily welcomed those who needed extra love into her home and was a surrogate mother to many. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, taking family photos to record all the special memories throughout the years, sewing outfits for family, and caring for her animals. Emily was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Elliott; and grandchildren, Troy O'Quinn and John Holloman. She was survived by her sons, Rex Holloman (Tracy) of Roseboro, North Carolina, and Tony Holloman (Angie) of Glen St. Mary; daughters, Elizabeth Gilliam (Mike) of Willow Springs, North Carolina, Debra O'Quinn of Surrency, Georgia, Della Conner (Durelle) of Sanderson, and Paula McLamb of Sanderson; grandchildren, Tina Jackson, Stephanie Flowers (Colby), David Cartrette, Jeremy Conner (Brittany), Taylor Conner, Ashley Conner, Melissa Hannigan (Kyle), Charlie O'Quinn Sanders (Max), Brandon Johnson, Randy O'Quinn (Lisa), Jessica Lauramore (Justin), Amanda Rhoden, and Samantha Rhoden (Shane); along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dale Hodges Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
