Douglas Eugene Morgan, age 47, of Macclenny, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was born on December 31, 1974, in Nuremberg, Germany, to Susan Mary (Asbury) Morgan and the late Douglas Lamar Morgan and lived in Baker County for the past 13 years. Doug was a loving dad, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend that committed himself to his work and the care of his family. He loved clowning around to make his children laugh and was the Dancing King of the house. His kind spirit and humorous nature made him fun to be around. Doug's light shown for too short a time in this world, and he will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Susan Mary Zweil of Jacksonville; fiance', Lynn Gainey of Macclenny; daughters, Ivy Morgan (David) of Sanderson, Savannah Morgan of Macclenny, and Alexis Morgan of Macclenny; stepdaughters, Kristy Huckeby (Preston) of Macclenny and Delaney Swearingen (Timmy) of Glen St. Mary; brother, Christopher Morgan (Danielle) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kallen, Nathan, Taylin, Easton and Brantley; aunt, Esther French (Tom) of Barrington, New Hampshire, uncle, Newelyne Asbury (Beverly) of Amesbury, Massachusetts; niece, Leah; nephew, Nick; cousins, Lexi, Brandy, and Joe; and best friend, Denny Hodges of Macclenny. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Bob Register officiating.
