Dorothy "Dottie" Faye Someillan, age 69, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside after a brief illness. Dottie was born on September 5, 1954, in Jacksonville to Charlsie Pauline (Parsons) and Frank Eugene Tanner and had lived in Middleburg for most of her life. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, tending her flowers, and taking care of the grandchildren and "Dad." Her door was always open and she was known as "Nana" to everyone. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her devoted husband of 53 years, Robert P. Someillan of Middleburg; son, Robert Someillan (Kristi) of Middleburg; daughters, Dee Dee Carey (Jim) of Mandarin, Bobbie Jo Swanagan (Jeremy) of Jacksonville Beach, and Stephanie Thornton (Ronnie) of Lake City; sisters, Linda Loughman of Jacksonville and Polly Tanner of Middleburg; grandchildren, Lindsey, Brittney, Bradley, Hayley, Lexy, John David, Jay Jay, Chrystina, Kayley, and Karley; great-grandchildren, Kinslee, Cayden, Kegan, Brayden, Levi, Gauge, River, Westin, John David Jr., Adaline, and Maxwell; nephew, Jarrod; and niece, Shannon. A Celebration of Dottie's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Long Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Harry Conaway officiating. Interment will follow in Long Branch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the church.
