Mr. Donald Calvin Keene, age 67, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville after an extended illness. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Ruben C. "R.C." and Inez (Dyal) Keene. Donald had been a resident of Macclenny since 1969 and was a crane operator at Florida Steel Company for many years before he retired in 1997. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Marsha Sigers Keene of Macclenny; son, Jeffrey D. Keene of Macclenny; daughters, Shelly Crews (Jimmie) of Glen St. Mary and Jackie Perdue (Charles) of Sanderson; sister, JoAnne Barnes of Macclenny; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Blackburn-Curry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bobby Christmas officiating. Interment in Macedonia Cemetery will follow.
