Diana Lynn Ashby, age 48, of Kingsland, Georgia, passed away at her home on October 9, 2024. She was born on a blustery winter night, December 18, 1975, in Manistee, Michigan. Diana was a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant and spent most of her career in the healthcare industry helping others. She was a kind, compassionate and loving person and had a great love for pets, especially cats. Diana graduated high school from Emmanuel Baptist Academy in Brunswick, Georgia where her father served as pastor from 1989 to 1995. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Reverend Robert and Joan Barthel of Kingsland, Georgia; daughters, Cassidy Sullivan of Jupiter, Florida and Jordyn Mora (Raul) of North Port, Florida; sister, Dana Potts (Eddie) of Register, Georgia; granddaughters, Elaina Mora and Eliana Mora of North Port, Florida; and nieces, Lauren Potts of Tucson, Arizona and Shannon Potts of Athens, Georgia. Diana had a fondness for her birthplace of Michigan and her wishes were to be laid to rest there. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church, 1040 M-88, Central Lake, Michigan.
